Product Questions
A standard scrubber or a customized BRICK will come with ONE complimentary pad attached.
No. You must purchase bungee cords separately.
No. You must specify in your purchase order that you want one or two brush assemblies attached to the BRICK scrubber when you order it.
No. There is no difference between the pads other than the color preference. Both have equally aggressive scrubbing action and are both non-abrasive.
Yes. Our scrubber units clean rubber, plastic, neoprene, modular plastic link, stainless steel, stainless wire mesh, roller belts, and ANY FLAT conveyor belt surface.
No. Our scrubber units are designed for FLAT conveyor belts.
Yes. Our scrubbers are made of polyethylene and are very durable and will not be damaged by your caustic chemicals.
No. Our scrubber pads are custom designed and consist of a polyfiber material that is aggressive, but not abrasive, and does not scratch plexiglass or stainless steel.
Simply place the unit on the conveyor and fill with your preferred cleaner or sanitizer. Make sure that the unit is stationary by backing it up to existing framework of securing it with a bungee cord. Once the scrubber is in place and stabilized, simply turn on the conveyor and let it run. Our non-scratch, aggressive scrubber pads will provide the mechanical scrubbing action necessary to remove biofilm, while the cleaning solution kills the pathogens.
Our scrubbers come with pre-drilled orifices of 0.031 inches in diameter that run along the bottom front edge and gravity-feed your cleaning solution and sanitizer onto the scrubber pad and conveyor surface. If you prefer a unique flow other than the standard, simply contact us directly with your next purchase order and we can change the drilled orifices size and spread distance along the leading edge of your next scrubber.
The scrubber pad simply sticks to the Dual Lock that runs along the leading and trailing edge. If for some reason the Dual Lock comes loose, comes off, or the mushroom heads come off from continued use, Brite Belt International has a refurbishing program that is good for the lifetime of the unit. At no cost to you, we replace the Dual Lock and return the scrubber to your company.
Our standard scrubber unit has a 22″ footprint on the conveyor belt surface and comes in standard conveyor belt widths of 6″, 8″, 12″, and 16″. Our BRICK scrubber unit has a 7″ footprint on the conveyor belt surface and has two additional features. The first feature is a brush assembly option that can be attached to the leading edge of the scrubber, or two brush assembly that attaches to both the leading and trailing edges of the scrubber. The brush assemblies provide more cleaning mechanical action and a slight penetration into deeper crevices in the conveyor surface. The second feature is that the BRICK scrubber can be custom built to the unique conveyor belt widths as narrow as 4″ and up to a width of 96″, or 8 feet!
The scrubber units control the parameters of cleaning. Time is of essence and the window of opportunity to clean is limited and with the non-abrasive pad we custom designed for our scrubbers, it is possible to leave the scrubbers on the conveyor belt for as many revolutions as necessary to remove the biofilm. This saves substantially on labor costs.
Absolutely! Our product focus is geared toward the sanitation industry and are designed for cleaning and sanitizing flat conveyor belt surfaces. Conveyor belt surfaces are considered a ZONE 1 environment and MUST be cleaned and tested daily for contamination.
Yes. Industries that currently purchase our products include baking, dairy, fruit, vegetable, meat, poultry, egg, fish, canning, packaging, bottling, and other food processing facilities. Every industry of food processing has some sort of conveyor system to move food products, and more importantly, these belts either touch the food product itself, or the packaging that holds the products.
